First Woman To Score A Double Century In Test Cricket

Mithali Raj of India is the first woman cricketer to score a double century in Test cricket. She scored 214 runs in the first Indian innings of the match played against England at Taunton between 14 - 18 Aug, 2002.

Brief Match Stats: Batting first England put up 329 runs in the first innings. Laura Newton top scored for England with 98 while Neetu David took four wickets for India. India in their first Innings, boosted by a fine double hundred by Mithali Raj, piled up 467 runs on board. England were 198 for 6 in their second innings when the match ended in a draw.
