6. It would also be interesting to note that Bill Lawry of Australia took the catch dismissing Boycott. This gives him the distinction of taking the first Catch in ODI cricket.
7. The first Six in One day International cricket was hit by Ian Chappell of Australia.
8. Umpires T.F Brooks and L.P Rowan officiated in the first ever ODI match.
9. Dennis Amiss of England was the first batsman to score a century in One Day International cricket. He achieved this feat in a match played against Australia on 24 Aug' 1972.
10. The honour for the first 5 Wicket Haul in ODI cricket goes to Dennis Lillee of Australia. The match was played between Australia and Pakistan in the year 1975. Australia had emerged victorious on that day.
11. The first cricketer to score a Double Century (200 runs) in ODI cricket is the Great Sachin Tendulkar. He achieved this feat against South Africa at Gwalior in the year 2010 and remained unbeaten till the end.
