Andy Sandham of England is the first cricketer ever to score a Triple Century in Test Cricket.
In a timeless Test against West Indies (which ended in a draw by mutual agreement) at the Sabina Park in 1930, he scored 325 as England piled up a mammoth total of 849 runs in the first innings. Unfortunately Sandham was 40 years old at the time, and it proved to be his last Test Match.
Overall Sandham played 14 test matches for England and scored 879 runs at an average of 38.21. He passed away on 20th of April, 1982 at the age of 91.
