Former India captain Rahul Dravid made his One day International (ODI) Debut against Sri Lanka on 3rd April, 1996 at the Padang Cricket Ground, Singapore.

Coming in to bat at the number four spot Dravid could score only 3 runs that day before being dismissed by Muttiah Muralitharan. India ultimately won that match by 12 runs.
